Expanding or puffing is subjecting the grain to hot steam under high pressure without the addition of chemicals. Whole cereal grains are used for puffing, hence the expanded products retain most of the valuable nutrients found in the grain. Thanks to the puffing process, the product has an attractive bright color and a pleasant aroma of roasted buckwheat. Expanded buckwheat is a perfect snack or addition to breakfast. It goes perfectly with milk, yoghurt or fruit.
